Transfection Reagents Printable Version

Hybridoma Production

Two cell types are placed in a chamber that produces non-uniform electric fields. Special non-linear amplitude alternating electric fields are used to align and compress the dissimilar cells. An electroporation pulse is then applied to fuse the cells. The special Cyto Pulse technology has proven to be greater than 10 to 100 times more efficient than cell fusion using polyethylene glycol for hybridoma production. The system includes a 2 ml optimization chamber with clear bottom so the cell alignment process can be observed. A 9 ml chamber is provided for bulk processing after the optimization process is complete. Cyto Pulse low conductivity medium is required.

Gene Therapy

Large Volume ex vivo Clinical Transfection System
Cat. # CELMI-30

The system can electroporat up to a few billion cells are treated uniformly under the same conditions at the same instant. The system consists of a waveform generator, a large chamber and special medium into which the cells are placed.
Complex waveforms such as variable amplitude PulseAgile® are easily applied.
